Humanity has become a tool used by higher beings to cultivate the universe.

Xander Floros doesn't know if the last fifteen years of his life have been a sick joke, some artist's vanity project, or an actual colonization by the Hibernarii. Sometimes it feels like all three because life on the remote desert planet Erimia has never been easy.

The Floros family and a handful of other human families struggle daily to survive in their oasis valley. Xander's sick of it. Sick of the heat. Sick of the work. Sick of his neighbors. And really sick of the giant spiders. But he doesn't have much of a choice, because the only way off of Erimia is by the grace of the Hibernarii, whose trail of ashes shows how they treat failure.

Based in the far future, Brunning Divide, is almost a space western, if it wasn't for those damn spiders.

Long ago, way before our time. A weary traveler left home to find new land for his family to thrive off of. Drought engulfed almost all of Elysium, called The Great Heat. The man traveled far and wide just to find a sign of life anywhere. It took him days and several hundred miles to find anything worth nourishment and care. He braved sand storms and blistering heat, his throat was dry and his feet could hardly carry him any farther. He collapsed onto the ground, his hands burning under the heat of the crackled ground. His vision blurred and mirages played with his suffering senses. His mind projected a tree into his line of vision, withering away but it's branches holding a single fruit. Besides his beliefs of it being a figment of his imagination, he crawled his way to it, bringing himself under the weak shade that it provided. He looked at the glistening purple fruit, what was it? He reached up to grab it, expecting it to fall through the image projected before him. His fingers wrapped around the fruit and he picked it from the branch. It was real! The fruit was real. He eagerly bit into the fruit and its juices trickled down his chin. He sat back and relaxed as the food nourished his body, he drank of its juices and picked out its many seeds, collecting them. He dug a deep hole until he felt moisture in the soil, planting the seeds into the ground. As it grew over time, the man used the old tree to build his home around the new one, tending to it religiously until it beared fruit. He brought his family and they lived there, planting trees and passing on the seeds for other places to spring life. Within five years the drought was over, Elysium was breathing again."

1. In the distant future, Earth is ruled by a newly born intelligence of technology, reducing humanity to a mere adjunct. To begin anew, the "Kunpeng" sets off into the vast cosmos, carrying the Nuwa System designed to reboot civilization. "Elemental Magnetic Star," this planet with its complex geography and intense electromagnetic radiation, already home to indigenous life, could it become humanity's final haven? 2. "The moon is orange-red today," Flicker Shadow said, "An orange-red moon signifies the time of our agreement. If she decides to go to the Free People's Tribe, I'll wait for her nearby." Raina Grace looked up at Flame Wave, who was lost in thought. He was slightly bowing his head, his usually impassive and strong brows furrowed in a rare sign of indecision; not quite the unflappable, powerful Silver Sect wizard he usually was. "You're really not coming with me to the Sky Domain?" But she couldn't just go to the Sky Domain; she wanted to forge her own path. He lifted his head, their eyes met, and they understood each other's intentions. 3. It's undeniable, these were the most beautiful and clear eyes Flame Wave had ever seen. Cold and light blue, they shone brighter than stars, wider than the heavens. At this moment, these captivating eyes conveyed apologies, regrets, and determination. She was not born human but chose to be human, to grow as one! 75k words manuscript completed, daily refined updates. [ 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐲𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 ] He's damaged. He's lost. And worse of all, his memories have come to life. If he wants to find peace, he'll need to redefine what it really means to move on. -- For the first time in years, Atlas feels like he's separated himself from the misfortune in his life. He's healed, he's rented a decent apartment, he's settled into a solid-enough-for-him job working as a grunt for some scientists. Now he's (reluctantly) traveling to the spring snows of Alaska, where they plan to test the first run of their earthquake-harnessing technology. But something goes wrong. They don't harness the energy of an earthquake. No. Instead, the ground rips apart. A massive crevice forms, leading deep into the Earth. The chasm lulls him forward like a Siren, telling him tales of his mother, of her laughter, of her scent of strong sandalwood, and of his life before her death. Waking up in what he can only describe as Hell, he's confronted with every misfortune in his life. Forced to befriend mirages made from his most painful childhood memories or pay severe consequences, he travels the twisted realm in search of answers.
