Giyuu Tomioka, a cold Hashira is yet to find out his best friend and soon to be lover is still alive. Sabito was 'killed' years ago by a demon. His sword had broke and his head was crushed. But, someone had saved him and healed him. Giyuu carried this guilt with him for many years. He trained under Urokodaki Sakonji and because of his incredible strength became the Water Hashira. Giyuu thought he didn't deserve this role at all and he should have died.
