Once upon a time, a beautiful black wolf of the night fell in love with a human girl who stumbled into his forest one day.  Taken by my sad eyes and her lovely smile, the wolf recognized her as his, and promised to always be there for her.  After several months of separation, the wolf and his lovely mate are reunited again.  Students in the same college class, she doesn't recognize him in his human form, but there is no mistaking her.  And while she is drawn to his human presence, she much more comfortable with the black wolf, who is always affection and has proven to be a trustworthy friend.

Will the woman be able to love her wolf - both the unfamiliar but tempting human and the familiar, affection wolf?  Will the wolf be able to get his mate to love both halves of his whole?  Or will they both remain forever alone in a world that has been equally cruel to both of them?
