Fire Captain Maya Bishop got ready for her shift at Station 19 and went to work just like every other shift she had done. However, during a call with her long-term girlfriend Dr Carina Deluca she heard what sounded like crying coming from outside the station. She took the child into her office and quickly formed a bond with them That's when Maya realised, this child was to be the next adventure in her life... Inspired by lovatic_f story "Maya's Next Step" (when coming up with the name for my story I didn't realise how similar they were until after I posted it) With that, I am in no way going to copy or steal their ideas. I was just very inspired by what they wrote.

Maya and Carina have finally decided to start a family. After a few unsuccessful attempts, they decide that foster care is their best option. Luna and Emma have been in the system for a few years and after a few failed placements they have lost any hope of finding their "forever home" but maybe Carina and Maya can change that. -------------------- English is not my first language so I hope you can understand the grammar mistakes

After several failed attempts to have a child, Maya and Carina slowly gave up on it. But when Scarlett, a kid in foster care, makes an impression on Maya, it lit her fire once again. Maya and Carina made it their mission to house and raise the girls, but when their biological mother is suddenly clean again, the new family seems to crumble apart. Little do they know that Scarlett is following in her mother's footsteps. The story mainly focuses on Scarlett's POV, but I did include Maya's and Carina's POVs a few times. TW: drug abuse and violence
