Kage and Laurie are two young orphans living in the slums.

The children had heard stories of fantastic people and terrible monsters.  Laurie very much likes these tales, being a staunch believer in the magical world of the Blessed.  Kage on the other hand, remains skeptical.

In this adventure, they find themselves in an old, abandoned mansion.  It's said to have belonged to a cruel baron who kept his acolytes in check with strange magic.  A defiant Kage ends up being faced with things beyond his understanding and Laurie must bail him out.
