How do you keep an impending disaster secret and prevent mass panic?  
Another life form, older than mankind and as intelligent, is encountered, and inadvertently brought to Earth.  What does it mean to be 'human'?   What does 'life' mean?  Can the definitions of either 'human' or 'life' change?  What happens when humanity finds that 'life' and 'human' mean more than they know?
