the year was 1978, and sadie was only 13 years old. her mom sent her off to camp, to make some friends because they have just moved to la, all the way from south carolina. sadie was so nervous she wouldn't make any friends, and she didn't even want to go, she'd rather stay at home and play video games with her brothers, mitchell and spencer, or make drawings and paintings with her little sister, jacey. once she got to camp, she was known as 'the quiet kid, with no friends' but that all changed once she met the love of her life, and her best friends for eternity. sadie and her best friends and her love got into a huge fight, and they all teamed up against sadie for something she didn't do. once sadie almost died at that camp, her friends couldn't care less besides 2 of them who couldn't find her, but when her friends almost died, she sacrificed her life, killing herself to keep her friends safe. no one will ever recover once seeing that. now, in 2022, it is known as 'the summer of sadness.'
