The Ark Vega laid dormant in its hangar, its inhabitants frozen in time. 12,000 years later, the final system has fallen and all of its crew were awoken from their suspension. Emerging from the silo, they arrive at a world that has moved on without them, for better or for worse.

Sequel to "Did you know you're my hero?" Anyone who knew Eight well knew several things by heart: one, she was incredibly timid. Two, she had her memories taken in the metro and was too traumatized by her time there that she hadn't bothered with getting them all back. Three, she had a veritable BOATLOAD of PTSD. Scratch that, make it a TRAINLOAD. There was more than that worth knowing, but that was a good rundown for new friends. But whatever, she had plenty of understanding friends! Cuttlefish was always willing to lend his shoulder and his jacket to cry on, Off the Hook were practically her moms at this point, and now she had Three! Well, she liked to think she always had Three as a comfort, but it was different now! Closer! There was still a lot about herself she didn't know...but at the end of the day, she knew one thing for certain. If whoever she used to be was someone Three felt comfortable pointing a gun at? Y/n L/n is an exceptional soldier and even better person;someone who would rather save others then himself but in an unfortunate turn of events his battalion is slaughtered mercilessly through illegal means. Being the only survivor he wants to get back at them,so he enrolls into a top secret project that should in theory make him faster,stronger and,better luckily it works but he's got bad luck and, is locked in because of human error someone added too many zeroes getting him locked in for an unprecedented amount of time. Having not aged while in the project he is released just short of the end of the war with both sides in a stalemate he turns the tables winning and,becoming a hero in the eye's of his people. He would hope to live a normal life but that would never happen as a disaster so severe would strike humanity so he did what was best for everyone else rather than him. Like the rest of Alterna's residents, he had a dream to see the world above. But once he escaped Alterna, he came to find the surface wasn't quite like what his predecessors foretold. After twelve millennia, life moved on and now the surface is dominated by evolved sentient sea life. To add insult to injury, practically all non-mollusks, more noticeably, mammalians, have gone extinct. Even if that makes him an endangered species, it does not deter him from his ultimate goal: to save a loved one who was thought to be long lost. With his only form of help being guidance from a mysterious man on a radio, Akikta will do whatever it takes to bring a piece of his family back and survive in this new era.
