Once living happily with her family; a young dwarfling girl is torn from all she loves when rogue Orcs attack one night while they are traveling. She survives but with very little to no memory of her past except the occasional dream. Found and saved by the Durin prince Thorin from a wild beast in the forests outside Dale she feels grateful and forever in his dept. However she has a slight problem...she's also part elf. At first King Thror seems suspicious but allows her to stay if she can make herself useful, but even being just a servant she enjoys her life in Erebor and doing all she can for the one who saved her. But what will become of this 'outcast' when the dragon Smaug attacks and she is again taken from all she knows but is now technically free and no longer bound by duty?

Elementals were once a completely separate race in Middle Earth. Now, very few exist, and they live in the forms of Elves, Dwarves, Men, and Hobbits. One in particular was close to the crown prince of Erebor. She was like a daughter to him, until Smaug came and destroyed everything. Having the chance to reclaim his homeland, will Thorin Oakenshield be able to rebind what he'd broken so long ago? Note: Story contains a degree of graphic violence.
