Nicole Arne is running from her past as fast as her trusty, old motorcycle can take her.

On her journey from the east to the west coast, she finds herself on the lonely backroads of rural Wyoming that lead into the small town of Oakheart.

What was supposed to be a quick pit stop quickly turns disastrous when unforeseen circumstances leave her stranded there. And the icing on the cake, Nicole is catching feelings for someone who is very much off limits: Grace Ingram.

Grace is set to be engaged to Jackson Field, the youngest son of the wealthiest family in town, but when Grace looks at him, Nicole can see that she has no love in her eyes.

And to make matters more complicated, she swears that she catches Grace staring at her with a strange look in her eye only to look away when Nicole turns to her.
