Hardyn is a commoner, nothing to offer society but a bad attitude and a quick temper. Being the only child of a Nameless family line, Hardyn's life was never destined to be anything worthwhile...
...that is until he stumbles (literally) over a strange rock-like Egg, which changes his world and fate forever.

Elænbrook takes the reader into a more gritty, darker journey into a fantastical universe, filled with Magic, Dragons, Knights and Wizards, Elves and Dwarves.
In a fight for the fate of the world, the lives of countless and multitudes of folk, Human to Dragon, will be put to the test and limit, with Hardyn and his followers and friends at the epicenter.
Can Hardyn Stop the looming threat of Endless Night and Cosmic Dusk...?
...or will he ultimately fail, and thrust the world headlong into its doom.

Volume 1 of the "Age of Solace" series. (Part 1 of 4). A serious dark-fantasy story. Descriptive violence and gore, as well as dark themes (Rated M, no lemons present). Peace. Conflict. War. Bloodshed. This is the way of things, and this is what happened between the dragons and mankind. Once they were allies. Man was ever growing and learning, while dragons were their guardians, watching over them. But mankind was greedy, and from that greed bred betrayal towards their great allies. In times long ago, dragon and man worked together to rid their realms of the demonic presence that once invaded their lands. Together, they defeated that enemy. But now, dragons are near extinct and the demonic menace has returned. There are humans that possess abilities that allow them to fight back, but it is not enough. Such humans have banded together, in a group called Corvin's blades. They hope to be able to defeat their enemy without the aid of dragons this time... but there is more to all of this than anyone understands. This story follows multiple youthful characters as they not only aid in the fight against the demonic threat, but learn and grow as they discover more about the lands they live in and of themselves. Views on dragons are changing, demons and spirits are invading, and two individuals are in the center of everything that is happening. Was it fate and destiny... or choice and coincidence? *Rated M for descriptive violence and gore, as well as dark themes* * Chapters to be updated* *Cover art was made by myself. Drakvyrn: Ashes of the Dragon Prince [Book 1]

84 parts Complete Mature

In the kingdom of Drakvyrn, where dragons rule over humans with an iron claw, Queen Valerance the Eternal once reigned as a beacon of wisdom and strength. Her subjects both human and draconic respected her balance of justice and mercy. But everything changed the day her only son, the Dragon Prince, was killed. Wracked by grief, Valerance has grown cold and merciless, her rule turning harsher with every passing year. The kingdom whispers of her tyranny, but beneath her fiery rage lies a heart broken beyond repair. Unbeknownst to Valerance, her son's soul has been reborn into the fragile body of a human boy named Thalen. Living in the shadow of the dragons' rule, Thalen begins to experience strange dreams, visions of fire, wings, and a mother's sorrow. Fragments of his past life stir within him, pulling him toward a destiny he cannot yet comprehend. In this tale of fire and rebirth, Queen Valerance is not the villain but a mother blinded by loss. The fate of her kingdom and perhaps the world, rests in the hands of a boy who must reconcile his human heart with the soul of a dragon.
