Dr Tempest Kincaid left the Compound she'd grown up in on the North Coast of New South Wales, looking for a life of her own. She walked away from a life that had brought her nothing but anger and pain. Her mother though not a submissive, was totally subservient to her father. Tempest wasn't, but held her tongue to protect her mother. This situation giving him far too much power over both of them. Now Tempest is a well-respected Doctor working in forensic for the New South Wales Coroner based in Sydney. She has a life of her own, a small group of friends and if she's sometimes a little lonely, it's a small price to pay for what she's achieved. Wade Benning is the local Alpha, contacted by Dr Kincaid to inform him of the death of one of his Pack-mates. The fact that she's human is surprising, but that this woman has the strength to stand toe-to-toe with him, not only aggravates him, it peaks his interest. Add a somewhat protective Detective Jaxson Gregory to the mix, a curious boss and a Rogue doing his best to create himself a mate, not to mention a Pack full of Were's wanting their Alpha to settle down with a mate and it's likely to be an interesting read. For those of you wanting this to be Jaz's story, relax this story is likely to lead us right into it. Enjoy!

I had to admit, he was cute. His eyes sparkled nervously and his lips were a lovely shade of natural red. I had good instincts and they were screaming to steer clear of this guy. Why? Because he would break my heart. Why is that all the best relationships happen at the strangest of times?
