Book 1 in the "Midnight series." Cassie Maeve is broken, hurt, and just barely holding on until someone lights up her life. "Walking is better than being wounded, knowing is better than wondering, healing is better than hurting." - Cassie Maeve. They book is more than a healing story, it's important to that topic but it's also about opening yourself up and being ready to heal. :))

If you've come to read a book about someone coming to terms with their abuse and getting justice this is the book for you. There's is no details written about the abuse none. The bedroom door opened is the most detail I've written about the abuse. Because the survivor is the most important person in this story. There will be themes of suicide in this book as the heroine comes to terms with what happened to her. Let me stress it will only be discuss in terms of letting the reader know the mental health of Cassie at the time. Book 1 of my women of Menden Series Book 2 A shot IN The Dark.
