Hello, shifters! I'm new to actually writing these updated shifting journals but I've seen many that've ended abruptly and would like to write one that continues! For some background, I am turning 16 soon. I would not like to disclose my name, but I have been shifting for a year now. I had a brief pause from shifting from a sudden lack of motivation as well as a busy schedule. But after thinking it through, I've decided to return stronger and better than ever. I am going to restart the process as I now feel disconnected from my mer spirit after this break. I look forward to sharing my journey with you all, and helping to share my tips and tricks with it. I will update with pictures of the process as well! I am positive that I will successfully shift. This community is like family to me and I am ecstatic to contribute to you all. I had this idea last night after a few drinks, a pounding headache, and an excessive amount of throat lozenges. In order to inspire me to write more often than I currently do, I am planning to write a new post every day and publish it, allowing me to rant about whatever is on my mind. Anything goes with this story. Maybe I will talk about something deep and metaphysical about the meaning of human existence, or rant about why my life sucks and how I prefer iced tea over hot tea. Anything goes. This is just an inspiration to allow me to write SOMETHING every single day of the year. Hopefully I can keep up.... If I end up deleting this story, I guess you'll know that I failed. Dear whatever, Or is it whoever? I don't know, I'm not a writer anyways. Hi, I'm Arielle, but please call me A, I'm sick of hearing my name, or anyname actually, it just bothers me that I'm not actually as special as they'd want me to believe. Who's they?
