"I don't need a backup plan." Her doubt in him was offensive.

Killian would move mountains to get what he wanted. He'd topple kingdoms, thrones and royals without a second thought. So long as he had the means. Forever oppressed as vampire General, the throne he hankered for seemed unattainable. Out of reach.
Until her.

"That sounds like over-confidence," She tutted, trailing her fingers across his lips. "It's me who'll die if that goes wrong. I'd appreciate a backup plan."

Their alliance wasn't born from trust. Or lust. Not even toleration. They were pushed together without choice. Only circumstance called for rebellion.

His words were a fluttery whisper against her mouth. "I promise you right now, we don't need a backup plan. Tomorrow, everything I've planned will go accordingly. Have a little faith in me Sinclair. I won't let you die."

Separate plans. Separate motivations. Was working together even possible?

She pressed her forehead to his, the distance between them nigh non-existent. "I hope that's a promise you're able to keep. If I die, I'll haunt you."

Two powerful men at each other's throats to get back for what the other did, except the cycle just continues. It never subdued, war, death, and anger stayed at the forefront of everything. Not until someone comes and changes the game. ~ I was so confused. I have two mates? The king was about to lunge at his brother, but I stopped him. "Stop. I need to think." I said holding my head. I could see the hate in the boy's eyes. Perhaps I can use myself to get them to makeup. "I need to hear the story again, with detail, both sides, no lies." I asked desperately, I was confused. Maybe this was my job, to make them forgive each other somehow through me. "Brother I think you should go first, you did with everything else." The king clenched his teeth and his eyes flash red as the man plopped himself down on a chair. "Sir I would prefer if you told your story first. I have already heard it from him." I tried to step closer but the king snatched me back not wanting me to go near him. My heart felt as if it was stabbed and I leaned over in pain. "If I don't mark her soon, she won't survive her body will think I am rejecting her. I don't think she can survive one." I could see the concern in the other eyes. His grip loosened and I was carried to him and placed in his lap. I was relieved immediately. I looked up to him and admired his features, they were almost exactly the same as the Kings but his seemed a slight bit milder. "What beauty you have my dear." He spoke softly. I snuggled closer to him, loving the comfort he gave me. I felt the urge to have my body pressed against his as it held mine perfectly. Hugging him as I felt his smile in my curly hair. "You're as pure as an heart can get, as sweet as honey from a hive, as beautiful as Aphrodite herself." He brushed my hair behind my ear and kissed my collarbone. "Fuck." He whispered as I shivered from the pleasure. "Your skin is like silk on my fingertips, velvet on my lips."

It was only ten of them. Among the ten females, one particular one caught his eye even though all the females have their potential. She was fierce, strong, calm, and Lethal and he loved the fire in her eyes. It reminds him of himself. ______Disclaimer_______ He watched as she stood in front of him, giving the five men a hard glare which left them shifting from one foot to the other. She never ceases to amaze him. How can a beautiful girl be so cold? He asked himself secretly. "My King wants to have a chat with your master, in peace," she said with the same cold emotionless tone with a dark aura surrounding her. An aura that he has never felt around her in before. "Our King has no business with your asshole of a king," one of the men spat angrily. The next second she was standing close to him with her dagger on his spin. "Don't disrespect my king. I won't mind castrating you before ripping out your particulars. One more word of disrespect thrown at my king and I will make sure I add you to an art collection," she warned, her voice coming out darker than he expected which made a shiver run down his spine as the guard nodded with a fearful expression. "Now, lead the way. Try anything smart and I won't hesitate to slice you up," she muttered motioning for the king to come with them. He followed with the same cold expression. He has never met a woman as strong as her in his entire life and this female has his heart without knowing. She's The King's Guard.

39 parts Complete Mature

She did not want to match with one of his kind; he did not want to match at all. Lillian Adams was set to inherit her father's dukedom- once she had made a suitable match, one that was not of the fae, and certainly not one that was Aëghan Dranora- the unpredictable and darkly attractive male that was lingering around her family's estate. Having spent four long years in their world, she was no stranger to the cruelness of the fae. But why was it only in his presence that she felt calmer than she had in years, that made her stir with yearnings of desire she had never felt before? Knowing all that she did about him, she should resist the pull that she feels for him... Aëghan had one purpose in this world- to find a way out of it. It was the only thing he lived for, the only thing guiding his every action. Until her. He could not allow himself to nurture the attraction he had for Lillian Adams, he couldn't allow anything, especially not a human woman that made his soul come alive, to come between him and his ultimate goal- to leave this world and return to his own. And Lillian was just that- a distraction, a hindrance. But the desire of his mind went against the desire of his heart as even the Gods urged their union. Aëghan was not convinced he would be able to make the choice should the time arrive when he had to- her, or his world and people.
