"Why are we friends, Saff?" he pondered, looking at her intently, their hands still laced.

"Because I love you, Stan." She replied, suddenly feeling an overwhelming feeling of confidence come over her. Maybe it was the heat of the room, or possibly the heat of the situation.

"I love you too, you know." And she knew then that he meant it, finally he meant it in the same way she did.
