Ever since Alexa can remember all she has ever known was that her mother passed away up until recently. She found some old newspapers about a woman who was brutally murdered. Over the years Alexa had grown to resent her mom though because all she knew since she was 6 years old was that her mother dropped her off at school and she never came back. Her father abandoned her after her mother's passing; she never did find out where he went. She wishes her life could be different. She has lived with her uncle and aunt for years, now she is 16 and in high school about to start her junior year. She has always had these hopes of becoming a famous writer after she passes because the legacy her parents left her is mere crumbs of the people they were. Her parents were very happy people; the town knew them for being so cheerful. Everything was ok until the abrupt murder of her mother. She met the love of her life while trying to figure out this strange mystery. Now all she can think about is who would have murdered her mother. And, why?
