This story follows the lives of Winter and Theseus (Theo), both orphans. It's only a matter of time before they're adopted, but the people who adopt them don't seem very normal. Winter and Theseus soon discover that their new home is not what they thought it was. They must find a way to escape before it's too late. They must also find out who they are, and why they are here. Winter and Theseus must work together to find a way out of their situation and to discover the truth about themselves and their past.
