Near will not be a love interest, he will be more of a younger brother figure, and Mello will have more of an admiration for Y/N, like a kid crushing on a celebrity sorta thing. I'm gonna try and make this sorta slowburny, but with my writing style, I'm sure that won't be an issue. I'm also gonna try to keep this as gender neutral as possible, so please let me know if I've accidentally used the wrong pronouns or something throughout the story!! He seems to trust me enough to tell me that he's L. But there are a few things stuck in my head... Why did he offer me to help him? Why does he want me to help at all? Why does he want me by his side? Why does he want me to choose a letter as a name? Especially for broadcasting? L.... You care about me... Don't you? Or... Are you just trying to make me feel welcome..? This was originally going to have a character but then I decided to make it and L x Reader story.
