Flight

Following a worldwide environmental catastrophe that alters the DNA in some survivors, mankind struggles to preserve the qualities that make it human, even in the face of human evolution. While on the run in the wilderness, 13 year old Tash just tries to stay alive, enduring hardships, undergoing metamorphosis and finding a companion in an unlikely way. Tash has adventures and narrow escapes while searching for a place to call home, where differences are accepted and there is no need to hide one's true self. Eventually, Tash's secret is revealed and a heartbreaking decision is made. This is the story of a teenager's journey to find both safety and acceptance in a post-apocalyptic era.
