A retelling of Beauty and the Beast and The Secret Garden, The Monster on the Hill follows the blooming friendship between the adventurous Maddie and Roddie, the sweet boy forced into isolation by the town's prejudice and his own fear of rejection. 
Set against the early 90s to present day,  Roddie hides himself away in Old Hill House,  while Maddie draws him out, encourages him to seek life off the hill, and find the happiness he deserves.
