This is a Highschool Reylo AU fanfiction based on the art of the amazingly talented @vivsketchess on Instagram and Twitter.

I wrote this as a form of escapism and as a coping mechanism in dealing with the death of Ben Solo in Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. This is a way to keep him alive and perpetuate the beautiful romance between Rey Skywalker and Ben Solo. 
There will be some familiar characters as well as new characters inspired by OC's of multiple cosplayers on Instagram and TikTok. 

This is for all the Reylo's.  And especially for Amy, Zoe, Aidan, Rob and Kelsey.

Whelp, this is a fanfiction of how I would've liked it to end. I'm going to make it as similar to the movie as I can while adding my own touches (and a Ben Solo) to it. I'm going to start it right after the part where Emperor Palpatine takes Rey and Ben's Lifeforce during their fight on Exogol. I will be changing POVs too. Rey and Kylo / Ben continue to have a strong connection but try to suppress or ignore them as both believe the other is lost. Then Leia dies and the dead of his mother plunges Ben into a crisis. Hux takes advantage of this moment, takes the power and tries to kill Ben. This one can escape badly injured. Rey is also weakened by Ben's lethal injury and finds out through the research in the jedi's books that she and Ben are inextricably linked by the Forcebond originally created by Snoke.... A post "The Rise of Skywalker" story. Months have passed since the end of the war against Emperor Palpatine, since Rey lost her dyad in the Force, Ben Solo, and found a new home on the Lars's moisture farm on Tatooine. Ever since she settled in on the desert planet, Rey started training a new order of Jedi, teaching them about the balance of the Force, taking her mind off of what happened on Exegol until after her lessons, because that's when she tries to reach out in the Force to search for him. For Ben Solo. But even after months of trying to reach out to him day after day, Rey still fails, believing he doesn't want to see her. She is frustrated and desperate, and about to give up hope until she finds out about a place existing within the Force, a place existing between time and space: the world between worlds. Could Ben be stuck in the world between worlds? Could he have been alive after all? And can Rey bring him back? All characters and planets are from Lucasfilm/Disney. The fic contains the world between worlds, but I added my own little spin to it. The art is by meadowhayle.
