When the clock strikes 10pm Casper kisses Kat, knowing he won't be human for much longer. A few days after that night, Casper wishes to be able to dance with Kat again, but being a ghost, he has no chance to ever experience that again. 

Casper's jealousy soon emerges and he can't stand the idea of Kat marrying someone else. That kiss was everything to Casper, and being a ghost around Kat again makes everything so hard for him.

As Casper continues to struggle with being a ghost again, Casper decides he wants to become human again. His uncles, however think he is ridiculous for desiring to live again, but to Casper, being with Kat is everything to him. He begins to look for another shot at life.
