Eli's mouth fell open in hurt, and he clutched his shirt dramatically. "You're so mean to me, Lo. I feel like our love is very one sided."

Confusion took over Ren's face. "Who the fuck is Lo."

"It's you! An abbreviation of your name", Eli said proudly. This did not help the confusion at all. There was a silence while Ren tried to figure out what the fuck this dude was talking about. "There's three letters in my name, none of them being an L or an O."

The smirk on Eli's face told Ren that he had been waiting to explain his new nickname. "I looked up your name a few days ago. Apparently Ren stands for the lotus flower, and it'll inspire you to bloom and blossom every day while still being reminded of your roots. I wanted a cool nickname for you that felt special and personal, but Lotus is quite long, so Lo it is! Plus it matches with your sister. Lo and Cho. Cute, right?"
