I take high school literary art classes, and we are given many assignments to write (obviously) I wanted to share some with Wattpad. (I'm actually procrastinating on one of those assignments now lol
So, here. I'll also write down the prompt that came with these assignments so you guys can write something yourself if you want to! Feel free to take inspiration from any of these as long as you credit me!

Of Ice and Snow
Lily is a snow witch with powerful magic and a quick temper. Not the best combination. But she keeps to herself, and the few people she lets get close know she has a good heart, and that's enough for her. She doesn't need any drama in her life. Except she never knows what to expect from her next-door neighbor, who is a mad scientist. Then there's her meddling family back at the North Pole. Minor irritations, but they may or may not trigger her blizzard-inducing rage from time to time, resulting in out-of-season snowstorms, snowbound towns, and confused meteorologists worldwide. Good thing she has a fairy godmother. Or is it? When a forbidden paranormal romance brings secret magic and an unspoken curse to light, the weight of the world lands on Lily's shoulders. Break the curse, save the world. Fail... And she'll destroy everything.Complete

O Negative
Content Warning-This story is meant for mature audiences. It features adult language, references, situations, sexual content, graphic violence, and gore. Fantasy, horror, and science fiction are my favorite genres to read. They are also my favorite to write. I've enjoyed writing since I won my first writing contest in the fourth grade. That was over twenty-five years ago and I haven't shared a sinlge word of it. Imposter syndrome is a bitch! Well, I finally managed to pull the trigger. Here is "O Negative". It's a mix of all of my favorite genres. I've mixed a fantasy, based on present-day Earth, with plenty of graphic horror and wrapped it all up within a world driven by the technological advancements that only can be obtained from millions of years of civilation. A small group of strangers find themselves surviving in a decimated world. It's bad enough to be stranded in a no-name town, but things become surreal when you realize the vast majority of humanity has died...it becomes terrifying when you realize you aren't that lucky to be alive. "Survivor's Guilt" isn't a thing when you find yourself the sole food source for an entire group of beings that no longer need to hide in the shadows. Man is no longer at the top of the food chain...they are now the cattle.

A list of prompts by @septic-bella on tumblr for May! It's in honor of the chaos in May 2018 on JackSepticEye's Youtube channel, but it's technically free-for-all in any art form (I might draw some stuff and post the pictures as chapters instead of writing prompts). I started late, but I can catch up quick probably, so let's do this! Here's the prompt list, for my sanity and for any of you to follow along! A Story By Chance
A new adventure awaits to those patient enough. But what about living the book you're reading? What about saving the world? A world? A life? What about learning magic? What about meeting a dragonness and talking mouse? What about dancing in a masquerade held only once every year? What about saving your best friend? And exploring the farthest confines of the Galaxy? What about living on a comet? On the Moon? On a futuristic world? Welcome to this new adventure, where each short story is based on nine random images. They might all seem disconnected at first, but are they really? I guess you'll get to find out along with me...
A Short Story Collection #Wattys2018
***NO LONGER RECEIVING NEW UPDATES; DISCONTINUED*** I'm in a writing class, and we do writing exercises where we write a short story in about fifteen minutes or less. I've decided to put together the short stories I've done on Wattpad. I've also re-written them since the writing was basic, and I flushed them out a bit. I hope you enjoy them!Complete
SmackDown: Back to Our Roots
Our previous two SmackDowns were both massive successes, and it's high time for another. You might remember the last one was heavy on the "game" elements, maybe even too heavy. This time we're going back to the basics and keeping it simple. It's just a motherfuckin' sci-fi SmackDown: a heated writing contest where contestants are given text-, music- and visual-based prompts, and then they need to write a short story around that, following which they're judged for their efforts and either move on to the next round or they get eliminated from the competition. But there's gotta be some kind of twist, right? For this one we're waxing nostalgic, we're looking back into our past. We're going back to our roots.Complete

30 Days, 30 Stories: A Writing Challenge
This is a 30 day writing challenge, a collection of short stories. I've always been a world class procrastinator. The goal of this challenge is to get me writing regularly and, hopefully, break me of the perfectionist thinking that often paralyses me. The Rules: 1. Write and publish 1 short story (flash fic, vignette) per day for 30 days. 2. Stories must be at least 100 words. 3. They can be of any genre or subject matter. Like a lot of writers I have notebooks lying around full of random story ideas. Most of my older ideas are for novels and screenplays. Been going thru my old ideas and picking out the ones I think lend themselves to the short story format. I'm also working on coming up with NEW ideas that I can use here. Never been good at using prompts, but this is a good opportunity to experiment with those. All the stories here are original works written specifically for this challenge. They were written on the day they were published unless otherwise stated. Any similarities to other writers' work is purely coincidental. Thanks & enjoy! ~Laura, 20 Feb, 2018Complete
Dukeceit Week (7/9 - 7/15)
