Krystin, Noel, Dylan, and Trent are stressed out. Krystin is trying to get into Harvard and her twin brother Noel can barely interact with the opposite sex without having a panic attack. College sophomore Dylan, their older brother, is working up the nerve for a possible proposal, and Trent, Noel's best friend, is drowning in his father's relentless pressure to join the military. Needless to say, their stress isn't entirely unfounded. But when a deadly man-made virus breaks out and things like clean water and grocery shopping become things of the past, they see the stresses of their old lives as child's play. As the virus gets closer, their two families worry about their dwindling resources and the roving criminals edging closer and closer to their homes, the outcomes of which would lead to far better deaths than catching the virus. Fortunately for these four, the cavalry comes, complete with a cure for the virus and a plan to ensure that it never returns and those still alive stay nice and healthy. But there's one big problem---the cavalry isn't human and their desire to help is self-serving. Something that Krystin, Noel, Dylan, and Trent ---as well as everyone around them--- are about to find out the hard way.

*COMPLETE* UNRELATED!GRETHAN. "Then I heard something behind me, something like heavy breathing, like a person who'd been constantly running. I froze really stiff and the birds stopped their swooping. I think I must've stopped breathing, too. I turned and there was Grayson on the ground. I mean, he was crouched down. There he was: blood covering his chin, his eyes like two darts pointed right at me. He was panting, smiling, his hands dug into the dirt of the forest floor: all dark colored, all messed up. 'Ethan,' he whispered and for a moment, I didn't think I heard him." In Kettle, Minnesota, nerdy, reserved bookworm Ethan Lesnicki, and arrogant, conceited head football player Grayson Clark are best friends, though they share little in common. They share even less in common when Grayson mysteriously gains an appetite for human blood after a disastrous fire at a local bar. As Ethan's classmates are steadily killed in gruesome attacks, Ethan must uncover the truth behind Grayson's transformation and find a way to stop the bloodthirsty rampage before it's too late. Inspired by Karyn Kusama's 2009 horror film "Jennifer's Body." Started: December 25, 2018 Finished: March 3, 2019
