Acelyn Cerise Gallardo has always been a little too good at running-away from people, attachments, and anything that makes her feel too much. Pearce Elias Santiago is the younger, quieter Santiago-known for his calm presence on the court and the way he never says much unless he means it. A basketball player with kind eyes and good words, Pearce dreams quietly and moves intentionally.

With Ace catching Pearce's gentle and sleepy eyes-even after she hit him with a ball-what begins as harmless glances turns into unexpected comfort, slow trust, and something a little harder to name. But when ambition collides with fear, and timing slips through their fingers, their story breaks before it fully begins.
