Ireland is taking it's turns when Aiden O'Sullivan takes over the government, bringing totalitarianism back, and changes switches around the life everyone's used to. Many rules are changed, many taken, but the ones that snatches the freedom of most is the their speech, their religion, and most importantly, the people that they love. Homosexuality is forbidden and if you go against these rules, consequences will be made Nineteen year old Annah Daley and her younger brother, Conor are close, so close that it surprises their parents, especially with the age difference. Life might seem simple for the two, but when this new rule is put in tact is when dangers arise. Conor is gay, though this will not stop him from seeing the man he loves the most. Annah is worried, and though she still lets him sneak out to pass the Sin Cleaners and see his boyfriend, the murdering of homosexuals are getting much worse. When her brother is killed, Annah is distraught. With nothing but a letter speaking of a box that holds secrets to something not known, Annah must trick the only man she ever thought she loved, and rile the people to start a rebellion, but most of them are already frightened into silence.
