Klaus Mikaelson felt betrayed by his siblings, especially by his brother, Elijah, who daggered him with the help of Rebekah and Freya. They tried to take his daughter, Hope, away him. He as a father was doing what he believed was right to protect his daughter, but his own family didn't even believe him.

After the stunt that his family and Hayley tried to do by taking Hope away from him and his family. Klaus become agitated and frustrated with Hayley's behaviour because she always blamed him and his family name for everything happening even though she has caused many problems within all the witches, werewolves, and vampires.

He had made a plan. A plan to escape after Hayley's pack got cursed with his daughter away from his family so he could raise Hope. However, Klaus didn't plan to come across old foes and a certain someone.
