Following the First Wizarding War, Dianne Everett finds herself back at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, this time as a Muggle Studies teacher. However, her past seems to keep haunting her as she finds herself teaching opposite to her old enemy, Severus Snape. Cold, arrogant and spiteful, time has made him a bitter soul and a brilliant Potions Master. She finds that she still cannot stand him, but perhaps there was more to him than she had initially thought. While they each navigate the ghosts of their pasts, they find that it becomes a little easier done side-by-side. As the years progress, time heals the wounds which divide them... and perhaps even brings forth something new?

After the traumatic events of his fourth year, Harry's summer takes a dramatic turn when a heated argument with his uncle causes him to run away. In an unexpected twist, Severus Snape is forced to take Harry in. As they spend more time together, Snape begins to see Harry in a new light, realizing that the boy may not be as much like his father as he once believed. Can a lifetime of animosity be healed over the course of a single summer? (Non-biological Severitus. Warnings: Child abuse and harrassment.) Inspired by a whole lot of great Severitus fics I've read. NONE OF THESE CHARACTERS BELONG TO ME, THEY ARE THE PROPERTY OF JK ROWLING. Thank you for reading!
