In their young teen years, Ricky and Penelope were inseparable. They defended each other when they were picked on, stood up for the other...it was them against the world.
One night, Ricky got drunk and did something unspeakable to her best friend, causing their friendship to come crashing down. She swore off talking to him, even LOOKING at him. She quit defending him and said many hateful words towards him. They grew apart quickly, going off and doing their own things.
They meet in a park years later, and Ricky tries to tell her how sorry he is. He's changed for the better, but will she believe him?
Love ensues, but it may be a bit one sided.
