Celisae's life has always been a series of compromises. 

She spends most of her time with her tribe, yet she blends into the background, as if she weren't present at all. The garments she weaves are far more skillful than the others, though she dare not reveal why. She cares for her exiled mother in secret, teetering between a longing for her mother's approval and shame due to her past.

After battling years of prejudice and gossip, Celisae finally seems to be finding a place among her tribe. That is, until a mysterious person discovers her secret and blackmails her into weaving three robes of sunlight, moonlight, and starlight. Celisae must fulfill the demands if she is to have any hope of garnering the life she has always wanted, the life that is almost in reach. But what is the cost of her compliance, both to herself and her tribe?
