Summary: 2 teenagers, Marinette and Adrien, receive ancient magical trinkets that allows them to transform into superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir in order to protect the city of Paris from the evil menace Hawk Moth. Plot Summary: In modern day Paris, 2 teenagers, Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste, use magical ancient artefacts known as Miraculous to transform into their hero personas Ladybug and Cat Noir when evil arises. Marinette carries the Earrings of the Ladybug and Adrien carries the Ring of the Black Cat. Marinette is crushing on Adrien and Cat Nor is falling for Ladybug, but neither of them know they're in love with each other. Their archenemy is Hawk Moth, later revealed to be Adrien's father Gabriel Agreste, who uses his own Miraculous, the Locket Brooch of the Butterfly, to turn people into supervillains when they feel negative emotion using small butterflies called akumas. He intends to gain the heroes' Miraculous to grant himself the wish of resurrecting his wife Emilie, who fell prey to using the damaged Brooch of the Peacock and fell into a coma, which will bend reality as they know it. Over the course of the series, as Hawk Moth's minions grow tougher, the heroes get help from Master Fu, the guardian of the Miraculous, who allows the heroes to borrow other Miraculous and recruit more heroes to help them, mainly Marinette and Adrien's classmates. Hawk Moth later gets the assistance from Mayura, a villainess using the damaged peacock using feathers called amoks to create sentimonsters, lifeforms created from someone's emotions, becoming his new partner in crime. Despite all the heroes they recruit and all the enemies they face, both Ladybug and Cat Noir promise each other it is thew 2 of them against the world.

After the events of Volpina, Ladybug's reputation slowly starts to plummet, causing the crimson clad 'heroine' to grow more bitter and resentful. Feeling responsible for Ladybug's actions, Master Wang Fu, current Guardian of the Miracle Box, entrusts Ryosuke, Avaline and Adrien with choosing the new future holder of the Ladybug Miraculous and teaching her the ways of being a good hero through using the Bee Miraculous. The only worthy candidate is Claudia, who will be taking the name, Stinger. Meanwhile, Avaline reunites with her former friends, Katherine Montoya and Jacob Monroe , who aren't to happy with seeing her again. However, a certain bluenette is still determined to win over Adrien, no matter what.

Now that Isabella is back in Paris, everything seems to be going great! Well, almost. Adrien decides to try and break up with Kagami, and even writes down pros and cons to help influence him. On the other hand, he's dealing with not only his father, but Lila as well. Alissa decides to try and uncover something about the Bevy of Swans and hopes to find out more about the swan who attacked Hawk Moth and Mayura and tried to kill them. Marinette decides to focus her attention on confessing her feelings for her best friend. She gets pointers from different couples in the school to figure out the best strategy. Isabella decides to move into the Le Grand Paris hotel after finding out that she and Chloé have another half-sister, who acts exactly like the old Chloé but worse. She also has to deal with a huge bomb drop involving Gabriel Agreste. On top of that, the four are guardians of the Miracle Box and babysit a bunch of kwamis.
