Frank's always been a sensitive kid. Whether it's crying over rejection or getting sick four times a year, he's never been the most held together person. So of course when his mom gets a one year job opportunity and he's forced to move from Belleville, New Jersey, to Albany, New York, saying he's a little bummed is a massive understatement. But he'll be fine, right? I mean, no one's ever died from switching schools. And hey, how bad can it be if it's only a year?

Gerard is new to the school.. he finally got kicked out of his old one, now being forced to go to school with Mikey, not that's it's a bad thing. unlike what people would thing, Gerard and Mikey get along great..it's just other people that bugs Gerard. he sticks out like a sore thumb, hes soft spoken and has pretty feminine features as well as dressing up in pastel clothes (skirts). he gets into fights a lot and he's not afraid to stick up for himself but it gets tiring so he normally lets his bully's do whatever they need. at his new school he meets Frank. he's known to not let people push him the wrong way and he'll call you out on your bullshit. Frank finds Gerard...uh, interesting. it's hard to tell what Gerard is thinking most times and that really bugs Frank. Gerard tends to be in his own and Frank wants to change that...but how can he? Gerard will forever be known as the "cross dresser" and Frank will always be seen as "too good" for Gerard.

Highschool is a living hell. At least that's Gerard's opinion because he can't pass the hallways without being shoved against lockers or called a "fag". God, how Gerard hated this word. In his last year of school, he decides to take a risk and starts a school project in which he wants to find out why all of his teachers and classmates hate homosexual people so much. For his project "homophobia is gay" he interviews a few people but decides that this won't be enough. What if he could introduce one of them to his world and show them that it's not bad to be gay? But, their differences don't keep them apart considering these strangers are forced into each other's lives when Gerard finds Frank attempting to commit suicide.
