Jessica is an Oc who is the adoptive daughter from eggman so people don't bring up like "eggman married a furry" or that "eggman made her" no she was completely adopted and jessica takes him as a father Jessica was unknown to the Sonic team until now except for Amy and Cream that already knew her as a friend she never fought sonic but she has indeed kept her father from getting hurt when sonic destroys his robots with eggman inside.
