Jinsei had lived in The Wastelands for the majority of his life that he could remember, and he had come to accept it. The dangerous, cross-species of creatures. The scarce food and water supply. The difficult means of making a fire. The constant reappearance of a supernatural being who won't leave him alone. He learned to live with it. He learned to give up hopes on the world returning to what it once was.
When Jinsei rescues wanderer Kaze, who showers him with immense amounts of gratitude and kindness, it makes him think. Could there still be people like him? People who still have a good soul in this miserable and suffering world? When Kaze enlightens him on his plans to figure out a way to restore the world, Jinsei has to make a choice. To leave his horrible-yet-comforting life in The Wastelands and assist with the futile attempts that this kind being had at restoring the Earth, or forget the possibility of stopping the wretched creature that caused mankind to retreat to these lands as 'The Safe Zone'?
