Who said falling in love was easy?

For a certain young Elven princess, love was not easy she had already had a past lover who treated her very badly and wanted her back so he could make her his queen. Her grandfather wanted her to marry the king of Lindon, Gil-galad because he felt Gil-galad could give her everything he wanted for her. Yet Amberle loved neither she had fallen in love with her childhood friend and the elf who had helped her through her dark times, she had fallen in love with Elrond Peredhel who in her grandfather's mind was not suitable for her for the reason Elrond was only half elven.

The Elvenking is like a very strong, old tree, deeply rooted in the kingdom he pledged himself to protect. He also pledged himself to protect his heart from love, out of fear that it might weaken him, but that proved to be disastrous. Love...what daunting word rubbed in his face by that fearless redhead elleth during the battle in Dale. Is there any love left in him? Follows what happens with Thranduil and Tauriel after BOTFA, during the War of the Ring and further into the 4th Age. Mainly from Thranduil's POV and including canon events that are only briefly mentioned in the books. I try to respect the lore as much as I can. Feedback and comments are much appreciated :) "His words were unforgiving again, hiding under the same cold tone he had for centuries, yet he could not believe them himself anymore. Tauriel was looking at him, her gaze seemingly piercing through his soul. His dream to restore Mirkwood to Greenwood and his thoughts of avenging his beloved wife were contradicting everything he said. He did not want to care yet every fibre of his being cared too much." "There was something else that Thranduil noticed in Celeborn's eyes: a combination of respect and admiration. 'You are strong, Thranduil. You are like one of the old Mirkwood trees, deeply rooted in the earth, that the centuries cannot wither. I always thought that, no matter what evil lies upon Arda, you will endure.' 10 parts Complete

(originally published on my Instagram @Legolas_mylove_imagine, under #mysisterthesensibleone) You are the youngest daughter of Lord Elrond of Rivendell, and sister as well as best friend to Arwen. Though you and Arwen may be sisters, you two are as different as night and day; while Arwen is regal, graceful, very beautiful, and prefers to stay indoors, you are loud, a bit too honest at times, somewhat clumsy, and cannot get enough of the great outdoors. But, despite your differences, you and Arwen are inseparable. So inseparable, in fact, that Arwen has abandoned her friends who are unkind to you, just because she loves you so much. And, though you are grateful for her loyalty, you feel terrible at how much Arwen has lost just because of you, and you've sworn to yourself that it will never happen again... Until a man of Gondor comes to visit Rivendell, and you and Arwen both fall in love with him. Will you choose to step out of the way and give your sister this chance at happiness, or will you follow your heart, and possibly lose everything for it.
