Cancellation and reimbursement policy for Alaska Airlines flights
If you have purchased tickets for a flight operated by Alaska Airlines, we want to help make sure that you're able to travel. That's why we offer a 100% refund if you need to cancel or change your reservation. We understand that things happen and that sometimes plans change. If you do experience a cancellation or change, here's what to expect.
What happens when I book my ticket?
When you purchase a ticket, you become contractually obligated to fly with us. When your flight departs, you may board the aircraft without incident. However, if you choose not to take off, you will be denied boarding and will forfeit any payments made towards your ticket.
Can I get a refund?
Yes! You can receive a full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled departure time. To qualify for a refund, you must call Alaska Airlines Reservations at 1-800-ALASKAAIR (1-800-252-7522) within 24 hours of making your booking. Refunds are subject to certain terms and conditions. Please review our Terms and Conditions for additional information.
How much does it cost?
The price of your ticket includes taxes and fees. There are no hidden charges or surcharges.
What about changes?
You can change your reservation for free until 24 hours prior to departure. After that point, you may request a refund or change to a different date. Changes are subject to certain terms, including fare difference, blackout dates, and advance purchase requirements.
I don't think I'll use my ticket. Can I still get a refund?
No. Once you've boarded the plane, you're contractually bound to fly with us. If you decide not to take off, we cannot issue a refund.
