Charlie has led a low-key life throughout high school, choosing to remain in her small town and prioritize her academic and professional pursuits over socializing. She has an impeccable record, having maintained straight A's for 10 years and never even received a minor detention. Oliver, on the other hand, is the complete opposite. He's heavily invested in football, girls, and parties, with little regard for his grades. However, this lack of focus comes back to bite him when he learns he won't be able to graduate or play football due to his poor grades. Despite his teacher's recommendation to get a tutor, he stubbornly refuses. Oliver and Charlie meet at a party that Charlie was dragged to where he instantly falls for her. The two joke around some before Charlie leaves. It's at Charlie's workplace where their paths cross after the party, and Oliver finds himself smitten with her. He frequents Starbucks in the hopes of catching a glimpse of her and starts to notice her presence everywhere he goes. But does she share his feelings?
