Miss Troublemaker

Miranda's parents were murdered when she was only 5 years old. She was depressed and tramautized for the next 5 years, living with her horrible foster parents. They didn't care about her or her older brother. Miranda and her brother Jake were extremely close; they were all each other had. But when Jake comes home drunk and hits her, Miranda finds herself alone again. She runs away from home, and is found by the cops. They brought her to an orphanage; she decided that it could be better than living with the 'demons' as she calls them. She meets a boy her age named Curtis who had the same story as her. They instantly became friends, and she believes that he's the only one who understands her. They told each other everything, shared their whole lives. Little did she know that Curtis had a huge secret that he was hiding from her and everyone. Does Curtis involve Miranda in his secret, or protect her from it?
