In this post Flag Smashers novel Bucky reconnected with his 94 year old sister Rebecca, living with her in her small Brooklyn house while he underwent therapy, made amends, and helped Sam in the mission against the Flag Smashers.  Then Rebecca suffered a stroke, losing her ability to walk, the Avengers didn't get government funding and Bucky made the decision to get a real job, as a dock worker.  Now as his sister's primary caregiver Bucky devotes all of his time to taking care of her when he isn't working.  It's time consuming and lonely but he has no regrets, vowing to be with his sister until her time comes.  Then a public health nurse begins making regular visits and Bucky finds himself thinking of her, wondering if there is something worth exploring between them.
