On his journey, he meets the ill-fated Dierdre--a girl who was destined to die, but defied fate and now lives like a walking spirit. Throughout his travels, Nico is inexplicably drawn to this mysterious girl and her eyes that have seen--and thwarted--death. Will fate allow them to meet again? Or is fate the thing to be defied after all?
