Stranded with a Stranger (Sour Patch Kids Singles Awareness Day Contest Entry)

Courtney Austin has faced nothing but problems her whole life. Bankrupt and widowed, she finds it excruciating to wake up each day. She tries to remain strong, but anything she does always turns against her. Even worse, what would have been her three year wedding anniversary happens to fall on Valentine's Day, one of the most romantic days of the year.

On what Courtney thinks is going to be one of the saddest anniversaries ever, matters only get worse. During what is supposed to be a calming hike, she trips on a tree stump, sending her tumbling down the side of a steep hill. When she regains her stance, she doesn't know where she is. Courtney starts to realize she is living her worst nightmare... She is stranded in the middle of nowhere.

Just when she is on the verge of an emotional breakdown, she encounters (more like crashes into) a handsome stranger who is also lost. As the two spend more time together while searching for a way out, will their friendship turn into something more?
