In a vast and dark universe, young warriors called Star Guardians are chosen by fate to protect the light of the stars. They are destined to burn bright but collapse as furiously as they shine.

Y/N L/N, the Sixth Commander of the Star Guardians, is one of these warriors. However, the once proud defender of the stars is now nothing more than an empty shell of his former self. Wracked with the guilt of his past failures, he now lives in self-imposed exile on a distant planet as atonement for his sins. Although content with living the rest of his days as a reclusive hermit, destiny has other plans for him when, one day, he finds a group of injured, young Star Guardians at his doorstep.

Luxanna's introduction to being a Star Guardian is showing that she will have to train to keep up with the level of darkness that threatens to kill their world. With another new light, Ahri will help Luxanna in their ultimate goal of killing Zoe. For now they must go through training, fights, and school to survive through their new lives as Star Guardian captains. As they slowly start to expand the Star Guardian team, they are put in a situation that is life or death and ultimately must decide whether their lives or the universe shall live.
