Her betrothed was looking at her with a half smile: sharp face, sharp look, clear blue eye, and a hood that was ridiculously trying to hide his identity.
Did he recognize her?
Was he mad?
He didn't look mad. He looked more... intrigued. His eye looked almost hungry while taking in every detail of her face, swallowing when his gaze indulged on her lips.
Love loves coincidence, and meeting your betrothed in a tavern, the night before being formally introduced, leading to the best night of your life, seems a lovely coincidence.
