Sydney 'Sid' Gates is a problem solver. He has to be. He's friends with Samantha Carlton, who is the very definition of a klutz and an airhead. On the first day back at school Samantha tricks Sid into joining the newly formed Fiction Club. There he meets the small and abrasive Matilda; the comically shy and reclusive Eva; and the all round popular and generally likable Club President, Margo.
Through this Sid ends up finding way more problems to solve than he ever did sitting at home watching anime. There's Margo's feud with the mysterious Student Council Leader, and then there's the Club becoming the target for the banned Anime Club and its own sunlight deprived President.
It's official. Sid's life is now ridiculous. But he's the protagonist so eventually he'll win out. And who knows? Maybe he'll fall in love along the way.
Possibly. Maybe. Unlikely.
Originally a 'Doki Doki Literature Club' fanfic that got way out of hand, 'Fiction Club' is an absurd comedy inspired by anime and 80s teen movies.

What if... a regular person went INSIDE of Doki Doki Literature Club? Yes, I know, I know, not an original concept. But I'm doing a unique spin on it! Trust me! Just... read the description and trust me!! Aubergine is a 18-year-old guy who really likes DDLC, but is avidly against the... er... "strategies" Monika employs within it. He has also never played the game. He was researching Doki Doki stuff for a potential fanfiction he could publish on his Wattpad account, chimpanzeecitizen40, when he stumbled upon an ad that allowed you to "GO INSIDE DDLC!" His curiosity got the best of him and so he clicked on it, expecting some low-quality AI website he'd click off of after a few seconds, but suddenly, his tablet flashed, and... exclamatory expression! He now finds himself within the confines of Doki Doki Literature Club! Will he see firsthand how psychologically terrible DDLC actually is?
