Kaitlynn Windford is a fourteen-year-old girl living in the English countryside around the year 1912. 
Despite her parents being reasonably well-off, Kaitlynn isn't snobby and 'high and mighty' like the girls in her village make her out to be.
But all Hell breaks loose when her father loses his job and they have no source of income. 
They must move houses, and Kaitlynn is being sent off to a boarding school. 
On the first day at 'Mrs. Maybelle's School for girls,' Kaitlynn meets a girl named Callie Jane, who is sharing a dormitory with her and a few others. Callie Jane and Kaitlynn become good friends and everything is going well until one day, a girl by the name of Macie Frank suddenly disappears without a trace. Then more and more girls go missing by the day and it's up to Kaitlynn and Callie Jane to figure out what's going on.All Rights Reserved
