The Fairy
An unidentified amount of time after Gumball Watterson encouraged Penny Fitzgerald to break out of her shell and be herself, a new threat has emerged from the world of infinite static with the intention of capturing the one fairy who exposed herself to the world. This sends the two of them on the run from not only Rob, but a new enemy like none the town has ever seen before (even by Elmore's standards). With the entirety of Elmore, and possibly the world, at stake, the two lovebirds are indirectly sent on a journey both physically and emotionally. Gumball is now introduced to the darker side of the fairy's emotions and her feelings about herself and her powers. When he's approached by someone (something?) who claims to know a way to bring his brother back to life, Darwin decides he has to do anything he can if it means that Gumball will be alive again... Anything? Meanwhile, Gumball is trying to get used to death. Luckily, his ghostly friend Carrie is there to teach him the intricacies and laws of the world of spirits. However, Gumball never was very good at following the rules...
