Sixteen-year-old Audrey Wildes has always known that she's special. It has nothing to do with how she looks (although her golden eyes are pretty cool) and it's not because her parents tell her so (though they definitely do). Audrey Wildes is a Starborn: the child of a human and a Star, and the only one of her kind.

After her mom passes away, Audrey is left wondering where-and if-she belongs in the world. But when she goes searching for answers, she makes an unexpected discovery: she may be the only Starborn, but she's far from alone. 

One by one, Audrey meets Wishes: people who owe their existence to a stolen wishing star. For the first time in her life, she's surrounded by friends who understand her in a way no one else can. But to hold on to this newfound sense of belonging, Audrey will have to accept a destiny she never could have expected. 

The Wishes are in danger, and a Starborn like Audrey might be the only one who can protect her new friends from those who seek to destroy them.
