Hypno and Warren had tried stealing a weird artifact, but instead of Leo goofing off he let his team help and so they got it back successfully.
So, in this time line the krang invasion never happened. And Splinter put the artifact somewhere safe.
Since then, Donnie has been practicing their mystic powers a bit more. But they're growing more and more exhausted..
